View MoreI got my baby Zeus, from a person who had bought him from the breeder, he was 6 weeks and 3 days old, I took him to the vet the next day expecting him to have worms, never did I think he would come back positive for parvo, my vet gave it to me pretty straight, Melanie he said he has a 40% chance of survival if I keep him and it drops to around 20% if you take him home and treat it yourself. I decided to take him home and fight it out, the vet gave him some antibiotics and wormer and wished me luck. I went to the store got some pedalite and pepto, he got soooo sick, he started to vomit and have diareaha, it was horible, blood was coming from both ends he couldn't keep anything down, so I rushed him back to the vet who assured me he was still ok, and that I needed to hold everything for a day then try again with what I was doing...I thought he would die for sure, I stayed up day and night with him, praying that if he was meant to be part of my family that he would help me save him, I gave him pepto every 4 hrs and 3cc's of pedialite every hour on the hour. After around 9 days, he started to drink water and keep it down, then he started eating. He is now 5 months old (tomorrow) and he is the sweetest little man, I love him and he loves me. Some might say that I saved him, but this little guy saved me, I hurt my back a few years ago and my life totally changed so I have struggled with depression. But this little guy gives me a reason to get up every morning, he gets me out to walk everyday and makes me laugh at his goofy little butt, when I am not able to get out he lays right beside<br /> me and never leaves my side, he just makes me soooo happy, and I thank god for him.
