Last breeding I did an outcross of my 100% Colby female to a Wallace line male. 2 male puppies were farmed out to close friends (I hold breeding rights to those males), one is doing shows, the other one live on 300 acres of land with a rancher.

My new breeding I did was with that same 100% Colby female (this is her last mating and then she will be fixed) to a Hemphill x Heinzel male. I am hoping to get a quality female from this of which if she is sound in game trait, Temperment, structure, loyalty, and drive she will then at around 3 years of age be stuck to one of the male Wallace line dogs of which I have farmed out.

The outcross last breeding really surprised me. I did the outcross because the Colby dogs are bred so tight that they lack pigment sometimes (pie bald dogs) and I wanted to add pigment back into the lines. But the Temperment, structure, loyalty and drive of the resulting puppies was so good that this breeding I had to try the other side of the Old Family Rednose line for an outcross.

If this new litter turns out as good as the first outcross then within 4 years I will have a second line on my yard consisting of Wallace/Hephill dogs as the mixing of the 2 different will give the dogs the Red Gene/Recessive.

New litter should be due July 6th or 7th. (vet said it is a small litter)

11 Puppies total. She gave me my Tan & White female pup. There is an all 100% White male pup that I think the owner of the stud dog is going take as pick of the litter.
