registration of your Pit Bull(s) you are really missing out on a level of

American Pit Bull Registry (APBR)

I hear your interested in Merle. Have questions please feel free to ask we have done more research on the topic than anyone. We actually maintain the largest research study ever conducted on Merle in the Pit Bull with thousands of participating Pit Bulls.

Probably the biggest problem today is the amount of false information spread about the Merle that is the result of an opinion paper written by Scott Dowd, which led to the UKC and ADBA denouncing Merle and the ADBA later retracting their position but only partially when it came to their continued registration as they still do register them under certain circumstances.

That splotchy pattern is called Merle. Many people may try to pooh pooh you about this and that it is not pure. They are however wrong as all registries once accepted them and only changed their policies in 2005 due to internal politics. Colby even had Merle Pits and there is anecdotal evidence of them as far back as the 1930's. Check out our profile pic. Camo is also Merle Pit Bull and is being trained as a Service Dog for a disabled veteran.
