There is so much BSL in the US. I think that we can use it to our advantage. I think the breed should be banned, only to trash breeders and bad owners.

I believe that we can cut way down if we make it illegal to breed unless you are producing show quality dogs. I know there is a lot of controversy with this because many registries do not do shows, like the APBR. Well, now is the time to start organizing shows and such within out groups. This will make people respect their dogs more, if they have to show! This way people will make sure they breed to bring out good traits!

Too many people get a pit and then think it needs to be bred! For those who won't or can't show their dogs, the dogs shoud be altered. I think this would cut way down on the population of flawed dogs and dogs all together.

Just think of it...you go to a breeder now and some of the puppies are living in horrible living conditions! Well, with my idea, they would also have to do inspections quarterly. This would cut down on the gruesome living quarters and so many puppies with diseases.

Some breeders produce show-quality dogs but don't show...maybe if their offspring are being shown then they can be an exception to the rule. They are producing good-quality dogs...

I started out breeding after I did tons of research on the breed and owned a few pits for a while first. My first breeding was done because I wanted to see what my male and female would create. Well, I liked what I saw. I kept a female from that breeding.

My second litter was later that year. I actually picked up a female that had already been bred. She was basically a rescue so I don't really claim that as my production because I did not have choice in studs, probably would not have bred her to begin with.

My third litter was done to produce the perfect family dog that is also great quality. The parents are excellent with kids and dogs. They created exactly what I was looking for! The pups all went to great homes and I still get updates!!

My fourth litter was accidental but still produced some clean bullies that are wonderful family pets and still have drive!!!

This last litter was accidental and the ma has been spayed. She also produced my third litter and, again, created exactly what I wanted!! These pups all are awesome and making wonderful family pets!

I recently did a breeding with my UKC female. Pups are due at the end of april. This breeding was done to create clean bullies that are show quality for the UKC as well as the ABKC. The perfect mix of American Bully and UKC Show.

Now, when I breed, I have a reason for breeding. I don't care about the money aspect of it. I keep at least one pup off of every litter. If they can't be here with me they go out on co-own. I have a purpose for breeding. Some just breed litter after litter and don't keep any of their productions. What's the point of breeding if you have no reason, other than money? It's pure greed! It's sad. Too many puppies are being euthanized and abused by this type of greed and carelessness.

If I ever have puppies that aren't selling I keep them until they do. If I have puppies that need rehomed, after I sell them, I ALWAYS take them back! I also take in unwanted dogs and pups and find them good homes when nobody else can.
