View MoreMonster is the reason behind my kennels name and he's who made me love the breed more than i ever did before. ive owned pits since i was 8 but none of them compares to how Mont was. For the first 2yrs of his life he was a trained fighting dog when he became "too much of a problem" for his owner him and his brother were dropped off at my house. his brother Trouble was a beautiful red nose but was people aggressive and was impossible to break him of it. as soon as Mont walked into the door of my house he was excited. it took months to train him but i was well worth it. Mont lived until he was just shy of turning 7. I had to have him put down after he attacked Demon for the 2nd time. Demon was the 3rd dog he had attacked in a matter of months (we owned the other two) and with Demon it change things a bit because when i got him to let go of Demon he pinned me to the floor. those loving puppy eyes were no longer there, what i saw in his eyes that day i will never forget. i dont blame him for what happened that day, i dont blame him for attacking Demon or the other two dogs. it scared me half to death when he pinned me but it took everything i had to not show him that fear. a lot of people asked how i could continue to own pits after Mont doing that... one dog doesnt make up for the rest of the breed. Mont was a trained fighter and when the flash backs started i should have done something then, but i didnt, if anyone is to blame for what happened that day it should be me. prior to Mont having the flash backs he was a wonderful dog. my protector. if i said GET EM... well he got em. he loved climbing trees after squirrels, loved playing the the rain or with the hose. dug a hole once the entire time i had him... i think he realized that you cant get out when you go straight down lol. he was my blanket at night and my shadow by day and he will stay in my hear for the rest of my life.
