Well we have been dealing with this skin irritation that our dog Mr. BaLou has. He had little dime size spots of hair missing so we went to vet and tried everything. Nothing worked. Then he started getting bumps on his chest and pits. Realized he has been rolling in poison ivy.  I was getting so aggravated i didn't know what to do. I searched online for hours and then found this home remedy for all kinds of skin irritations. It's a borax powder and hydrogen peroxide.
1/2 CUP BORAX POWDER
2 CUPS HYDROGEN PEROXIDE
2 CUPS WATER
mix together in a milk jug then pour it on the dog after a bath and let dry. DO NOT WASH IT OFF! Try not to get it in there eyes, just put on hand and rub it on there face. You can find that Borax powder in the washing powders isle in wall-mart or almost anywhere.

I promise it works. My mothers cats have been pulling there hair out and such. I put it on them too and in just 2 days we all noticed a difference in there skin and the way they acted. Seemed much calmer. It's very cheap and can't hurt to try if you can't afford the vet or he's just not working. I have also noticed it gets the flea's off without using serious chemicals. Please if you have a dog that has anything from scatching or pulling it's hair out or poison ivy this work. If you do try please leave a comment and let me know your story.

Anyways yeah i pour the whole mixture on him every 2 weeks after his bath, I haven't noticed  any dry skin but compared to mange or flea's dry skin isn't so bad. Amber is right it kills the bugs whatever they may be. It doesn&... View More

it doesn't stop the itching cause it solves the problem of why they are itching. nothing that you are putting on the dog will hurt it, just like amber said we use this stuff everyday, not gonna hurt the dog. I'd trust that stuff before i would put any kind of flea preventatives cause they are full o... View More
