Your dog would be considered a Black Brindle. True Tri's have a three color pattern that is usually solid patches. (i.e. Black, fawn, and white, or Blue, Fawn, and white. I have even seen a Red, fawn, and white pattern). Yes, your dogs coat consists of three colors, but that does not make it a tri. Your dogs coat is rippled with Black, fawn, and white. And your dog has other solid white Markings. Take a look at bakerboy9008 or Jah-Sun profiles and their galleries. They have true tri's to give you an idea. Derrick Charm Citi Kennels

all it really is, is that the dog still holds a stonrg tri color gene i think alot of black brindles have this the owners just dont kno it so you hear black brindle and trindle as two different colors

exactly, its still black brindle to me i just like to kno that my dog has the tri gene. im not going to be asking for more money and call her pups "trindle" when  i kno the real story behind the name. my dogs are Black brindle, black, Sable, blue and fawn and they also have the tri color gene not seen in there coat always! research your colors people stop makeing up new names its not like the more you use the name that its going to change a thing. if you are not sure of your color look at a APBT color chart at UKC.org or ADBAdog.com

If their was such a thing as a 'trindle' or a tri/brindle (not sure if their is such a color as trindle or not) we would say it would look like ..... example: A black tri but instead of where the black is, it would be a brindle pattern of any color. So it would be mainly brindle with the brown eyebrows, cheeks, etc. Or like someone else said, maybe they could be black but where the 'brown' on the cheeks, brows and legs... it would be brindle.

It sure would be a unique color, but no color is any rarer than another.... it is just color. Rarity comes with purity of bloodlines and such, not so much for color.

yeah bc you can breed for color, as you sww with the "rare" blue dogs. they are everywhere bc people breed for that color bc thats where the money is.
