Female in heat question

yeah, a little swelling is natural. She will have her period every 6 months, each time for 21-24 days. If you are planning on breeding her, try and have her mated on the 12th day of her period cycle. Good luck with your female and all your dogs.

Ok so within about a week she should start bleeding and I should notice it unless she's a cleaning machine? lol I just happened to notice last night she looked a little swollen and it looked like she was slightly "flapping in the wind" so to say when she walked.

Well I noticed blood today. It wasn't much and she doesn't lick herself which is odd from everything I've read all other females lick and hump stuff. I guess she's just weird. When she is ready will she keep her butt in his face and not leave him alone? Right now it's probably still to early but sometimes she will stand but her tail is down.

Well they finally tied and while they were tied her muscles were tensing the whole time and she was drooling and foaming at the mouth. Is this normal? Also after the tie when they separated a good bit of fluid came out is that normal also?

Alright!! Should I let them breed anymore or should the two ties they had already be enough. I'll give a breakdown of what I have so far. Friday the 12th I first noticed blood. I don't really remember though when she started to stand for him because I didn't think he'd figure it out. Tuesday the 23rd they tied for the first time around 9:00 at night. Got them in and settled for the night and feed him his dinner a few min later, about an hour later fed her. Today the 24th they tied again at 9am. Don't know how long the ties lasted though but I think they were longer than 5 min.

If she is still in full cycle-you can breed them again but the two ties ought of done the job

When Onyx was in heat the only thing she would hump was Rocko, lol... nothings funnier than seeing that. Also Onyx and Rocko were bred the exact same time last yr. They tied twice and produced 9 pups with 7 survivers. They tied the 1st time on Feb. 22nd and the 2nd time on Feb. 24th.... Onyx had her pups on April 28th. So let us know when she has her pups, maybe it'll be the same day! lol.

Kali hasn't eaten anything all day. Yesterday and all the previous days when I put her food down she ate it up within 5 minutes

Ok just making sure. She did finally eat 6 hours later and she has been drinking fine. Fingers crossed she took and all goes well. And hope all goes well with yall's girls too.

Be sure to give her an 'all you can eat buffet'... if she took to him, soon enough she'll want food all the time throughout the day.

we bred Dixie to Dirty on March 30 and pup are due June 2....
