DON'T FORGET HOG HUNTING BULL BAITING, AND ALL AROUND FARMERS HELPER. THEY WHERE BREED IN IRELAND AND ENGLAND TO HELP FARMERS WITH ANY JOB, THEY WHERE THE ALL AROUND WORKING DOG AND STILL ARE. LIKE CHOCCACON SAID ITS THE ALL MIGHTY MAN WHO TOOK THAT DRIVE AND HEART THAT MADE THEM A GOOD WORKING DOG AND FOUGHT IT. AN APBT, AMSTAFF, AND AMBULLY WILL COMPLETE ANYTHING PUT IN FRONT OF THEM IT DEPENDS ON THE DOG NOT THE CLASSIFICATION OF THE DOG. It may be selective breeding,selecting the right english bulldog to breed to the select brood bitch,then selecting the right papers to hang the ped off of.the whole colby argument just doesnt work for me,look at a colby dog,look at a pit bull and you still cant breed down to what is being put out there.

WE'D SAY-WHERE IN THE WORLD DID THAT COME FROM?!!! OUR FULL ZEBO MALE 'TOBY' WAS A PRIME EXAMPLE...NOT OVER 17"TALL AND SUPER THICK AND WIDE W/ A LARGE BULLY HEAD.HIS PARENTS WERE OWNED AND BRED BY ONE OF THE OLDEST DOG MEN AROUND HERE.YES-HE WAS A GAME DOG MAN,AND A DOG FIGHTER!! YOU CAN HAVE A THROW BACK IN ANY BREED.
LOOK AT THE MINATURE HORSES.THEY ARE FULL BLOODED HORSE. CALL THEM THE 'POCKET' HORSE.BUT YOU CAN NOT DENY THAT THEY ARE FULL BLOODED HORSE.

I agree! this argument I have with a lot of people. Not saying people don't falsify paper work we know they do. but you cannot condemn every AM bully for this. I have seen selective breeding in any dog breed German Shepard use to be a 60lbs dog about 23-26inches tall look at them now over the years American have breed them bigger and more aggressive they where hearers that were used in WWII now cop dogs. Americans breed everything bigger its a known fact. Look at the American Lab as apposed to the English lab. Your American Lab is bigger and taller. Its all what we do to it, it doesn't make it wrong or write it doesn't make it pure or not pure.

I PERSONALLY KNOW OF A BREEDER IN THE NEIGHBORING TOWN THAT STARTED OUT WITH SOME OF THE BEST APBTS AROUND.GORGEOUS DOGS WITH TOP OF THE LINE PEDIGREES.NOW HE HAS SOLD ALL HIS ORIGINAL STOCK AND IS GETTING INTO THE XXXL APBTS.NO DOUBT AFTER LOOKING AT THESE DOGS, THAT THEY HAVE BEEN BRED FROM APBTS/ MASTIFFS.MONSTER DOGS W/ BIG FLEASHY HEADS-FOLDS EVERY WHERE-SLOPPY LIPS/MOUTHS,DROOPY EYES.
MIXING THE DIFFERENT BREEDS AND HANGING PAPERS IS AS WRONG AS IT GETS....BUT WHEN 2 FULL BLOOD PITS THROW A PUP OR PUPS THAT DON'T FIT THE STYLE OF PIT AS THE PARENTS...IT IS STILL A PUREBRED. NO MATTER HOW IT TURNS OUT.

If instead of culling these dogs, you breed them with an anomaly from a different breeder's litter, you just changed the dynamic.

I agree this is a hot subject and we've all been through this many times and it never changes any ones views lol. I didn't mean to make this another big debate.... I just wanted to get the point accross that not every dog with APBT bloodlines and AmStaff bloodlines is or should be considered AmBully. Our male has both and will never be called an AmBully. If he has every trait that a true APBT should and he is registered as an APBT... then that's what he is. Shoot, he looks more like a dog with pure APBT bloodlines than half of the pics I've seen online of pure APBTs lol.

I know a few people that live on the beach in Hawaii; they might have had the right idea.
It's pretty great that nobody gets too bent out of shape on here. It feels like the running rule here on PBS is if you purport an idea, just be able to back up your reasoning.
