dawn dish soup has a fast knock down on fleas and if you house the puppies in cedar chips it will keep most of those parasites away

After the pups are born you can use advantage on her but you have to wait til its completely dry on her before you put her back in with the pups. So ya give her the dawn bath, bring her in and when the pups are a couple weeks, treat her with advantage. Hope it helps!

It would be best to consult your vet or the maker of the pills.. they will have an 800 number you can call. but to be safe i dont give anything to my girls after they've gotten preggo til they are nursing. that might be too cautious tho.

well you should start noticing her thickening up in her waist line about four to five weeks in. The last two weeks to ten days she does gain her most weight as the pups themselves are getting bigger and prepared for delivery. Then right before birth, they will 'drop' and you will almost wonder if she looks smaller lol but they have just moved down and back into position. But ya she probally wont express milk from her nipples her first litter until right before the pups are born, mothers who had a litter before may start expressing milk some days before. Did you mark down the date that she tied on? There are always the chance of false pregnancies which can mimick the real thing even up to the end.

If they tied there is a very good chance she is. Now he was pretty young so it could be possible for it to not have been a fertile try but most likely if she starts showing signs then she in fact is. Better to treat it like she is cuz that hurts no one if she isn't

pups usually arrive 63 days after fertilization. Anywhere from 58 to 70 after the tie is considered safe. Before day 57 the pups lungs are not developed enough to have a high survival rate. On the other hand I get pretty nervous if its after day 65 and that definitely would suggest a trip to the vet. Especially if she doesnt get very big or your worried its a single pup litter you will want to get her an xray. My pittie girls are pretty consistent about birthing right at 60-63 days after the tie.

Advantage and frontline are both safe to use on a pregnant bitch and while she is lactating as well. Do not use the comfortis flea tablets in animals used for breeding because it hasn't been tested yet and possible side effects are a worry for potential pups
