I'm about to add 3 Dams/litters to APBR. The 3 dogs are UKC and ADBA registered. The Pedigree generational count will be at 5, 7, & 8 generations....My question is....for future breeding purposes, who has 7 or more generations to their dog's name.....when I get these dogs registered, I'm looking for a SOLID GENERATIONAL BREEDER... BTW, I favor GameDogs (APBT of 40-65lbs), but I won't discount Bully types as long as the dog isn't over 110 lbs.

I do understand that the breeding is still a year or so away, nonetheless, I need to build more contacts and I'm trying to find deep, deep generations. My services will probably be to Sire...but still thinking...

If so, I'll be wanting 1 pup and a small fee or 2 pups. We'll negotiate and decide.

If you want me to provide the Dam, well, we'll tackle that bridge when it comes but I'll warn you it will take a lot of pursuasion...I LOVE my girls.

Thanks.

Well the cool thing about the APBR is that with those 5, 7 and 8 gens, they will probally turn those into many more. I had a stud dog once that they were able to find back to 19 gens which I thought was totally awesome!
Most of my dogs have plus 7 gens. Not sure what exactly this thread is for? But thought I'd chime inSmile

thank you...the purpose of this is to simply find who all can go deep in their generations and to possibly arrange a breeding pair for the future....Already planning LOL.

I'm aiming for some of the deepest generations possible.

BTW, what happened to your stud dog? Certainly you have a descendant of 19 Generations! Don't tell me it stopped there...

No it didn't stop thereSmile I own a daughter of his and he is now a stud for a kennel in fort lauderdale. As for me, as sweet of a dog as he was I ended up having to sell him.. he was quite an excellent hunter for my friend, his previous owner, who had trained him from a pup. I could not get him to a point where I could trust him around my horsesUnhappy

Actually not sure how to figure out exactly how far back my studs pedigree's go.. the chart lists options up to 12 gens and both boys have names that far back plus arrows on some of those in the 12th signalling there is more pedigree behind that as well. But that is where im getting confused lol in counting the gens.. i wonder if there is a chart to figure out that question
