I have had a few pit bulls.
rite now i have a 5 yr old male & a 1yr old female.
the female refuses any type of training unless she see's or learns it from the male dog.
this female is the most stubborn dog i have ever had. she looks at me like im not even there. like she is looking rite thru me. she will not do anything i tell her. she just started coming to me when i call her name in the house, not outside.
she will sit, but not lye down when i tell her. if she is in the back yard she will come back when she is good and ready, not when i call her to come back in. she makes pretend like she didn't hear me and keeps walking farther away.
i can't trust her anywhere if i were to take her off the leash.
she will not do anything i teach her. treats don't work, nothing. she has to see the older dog doing it, then she might do it.
if i sepperate her from the big dog to spend time with her & train her, she will sit down & not move until she gets back together with the big dog. i literally have to drag her to move her.
All that's annoying, but this is more annoying.
she still pee's in the house. she does not show any signs that she needs to pee. when i'm home i put her outside a bunch of times so she can pee, crap & stretch her legs. when i'm at work, she is in the cage. she barks for 9 hrs straight. and she craps & pee's in the cage even though i blocked off the cage so she only has enough room to sit, turn & sit or lye down.
i take her outside. she pee's, craps, then pee's again. then 10 - 15 min later, she pee's in the house. i try & get her to be used to holding it. she just doesn't care.
if i put her in her cage, she craps & pee's 1 min after getting into the cage to show me she doesn't want to be in the cage. i have to giver her a bather almost every day.
She also non stops licking & making out with the older dog, NON STOP. i'm sick of it.
I am so aggravated with this dog. I don't know what to do. I'm thinking of getting a dog training collar.
This is the most aggravating dog i have ever had. I have never seen a dog this stubborn.
Do any of you have any pointers for me? Have any of you had a dog like this?
Thanks for any help

first things first.. have you ruled out any medical issues possibly causing the excessive urination? there are a number of things that could be responsible like stones or infection etc. Also is her hearing good, no ear infections or imflammation etc?
It sounds like she may have overbonded with the male dog which would definitely affect her relantionship with you. But to help get a clearer picture I have a couple more questions for you.. How long have you had your female? Has she had any formal obedience training? When she is crated, where is the male dog? Also how long has this behavior problems been going on?

- vet checked her out. no medical issue's but stubbornness.
- i think your rite about the overbonding. she can not sleep without beeing cuddled up with the big dog. if i tell her to do something, she looks at the big dog to see if he is going to do it.
- i have had this female for 10 months.
- no formal training. this is my 5th pit bull. i did pretty good training the others. this dog is the most stubborn dog i have come across. my other dogs wanted to please, this dog doesn't give a #$@!.
- when she is in her cage, i put the male dog in another room. the male dog is fine with her or without. this dog misses the big dog, not me. lol
- i have had these issues ever since the day i got the dog at around 12 weeks old.
