My first was an all black and white male named Duke. When I had my first child the first thing i did was introduce him to Duke. Soon after I acquired 2 young females and adopted them out. I got 3 more females (all puppies) and adopted them out. In 2008, less then a week after my birthday, Duke passed away. Without Duke I soon decided that I didn't want to have anything to do with my rescue anymore. Then in 2009 on fathers day my future wife told me that a male puppy was found on the street and she wanted me to help. Emotionally I didn't want to have any interaction with APBT anymore, but soon succumbed to the temptation of raising one more. Our new APBT name is Jasper and he is now 8 months old and weighs 55 pounds. His temperament is excellent and was raised with 2 cats and 3 children. I never thought that I could become so attached to another dog after Duke, but although Jasper could never take his place....he is now our best friend.
