And my children will grow up around the breed also & have knowledge of the breed so they can help fight the stereo-typing long after I'm gone...
I currently own 4 pitbulls & 2 miniature dachshunds (I don't descriminate). I try to rescue animals when I get the chance & have the ability to care for them. One day I would like to own a couple acres so that I may have my own kennel & rescue with enough room for the dogs to not feel overcrowded. Right now I have about 1 acre lot so they have a decent amount of space to play.
I'm not the type of person to give up my pet on the drop of a dime. I just moved out of a town 1 year ago because they banned 1 of my dogs from that town. Instead of getting rid or abandoning of him I had my mother in law keep him for a couple months til I could move. And I still have him. Everyone that met him fell in love...
I've had to put up w/ people trying to steal my dogs & I never gave up until I got them back. I stand behing my pitbulls 100%!!!!
