For worms I use Ivomec/Ivermectin for heartworms, you can buy a small bottle that will last you a while for around 30.00 of 1% ivomec or you can get the tube of Ivermectin for 7 bucks at the local feed stores. Just need to figure out how much your dogs weigh and measure it out correctly, I use that instead of the #$@! hte vet has, same stuff as heartguard just dosed for cattle and horses.
For other worms I use Pyrantel Paomate and Panacur I use it all once a month.
