RE poll " Registry with APBR is considered having papers for the dog?"

I noticed that all members who responded to this poll have voted yes....what about those who cannot trace back the blood line and have no existing papers or registration with UKC or the like ?

In order to register a dog with the ADBA a complete three generation
pedigree is needed to start a research.  The dogs in the pedigree must tie back to their files and the owners of the dogs that are registered would have  to sign the application form to verify the unregistered dogs did come from their lines.  The ADBA does not start lines.

A common question from prospective buyers ask what "line does your dog come from"?

The APBR provide an exceptional community level of support and with the provision of their personalised Family Profile disks they have an exclusive method of tracking the history of our pits.  Without actul bloodline papers purchasers can be detered from purchasing unknown pedigrees.

Having commented; I support the APBR as they are a no fuss registry with personalised service and definately have enhanced the sales of my litters.

I welcome any feedback regarding tracing back bloodlines and hope to hear from our active members,

I am happy to stand corrected on this!
