Prioir to 2001 all major registries accepted Merle according to their standards published at that time. Merle is pure to the Pit Bull and has been admitted as such by the ADBA. (http://www.adbadog.com/p_pdetails.asp?fspid=73&pg=73) Ongoing and recent changes by the UKC and ADBA have and continue to to be made in order for them to turn their backs on the Merle and its owners. It is not the Merle Pit Bull that has changed it is the registries that have changed their standards.
